Two-Day Learning Institute
Wednesday January 8, 2025 1:15pm - 2:00pm PST
Effective systems change requires supporting the needs of individuals as part of the larger systemic structures and process changes. Applying the Concerns Based Adoption Model (CBAM; Roy, 2008) provides a lens for considering these needs as part of the inclusive education system change process for all students with disabilities, including students with extensive support needs. This session will share the “pain points” individuals in various roles (i.e., state administrator, principal, teacher, parent) identified related to implementing inclusive education change. Strategies will be shared for pinpointing types of support that would be useful for them and teams who are at different points in the change process. Topical resources from the TIES Center will be shared to support inclusive education implementation.
