About me
After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of the Philippines,
Jackie Abney migrated to the United States to finish her Master of Science degree in
Speech and Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. She has devoted
over 21 years to helping improve the lives of those with speech and language
disabilities, both in the educational and medical fields. Jackie’s expertise includes
swallowing and communication disorders, and she began her journey into Assistive
Technology after completing her certification of Assistive Technology Specialist with
CSU Dominguez Hills in 2014. After realizing the unparalleled benefits of Assistive
Technology, she continued her education in this field of study by completing rigorous
certification training with the Diagnostics Center of Southern California. Jackie has
worked with multiple school districts in Georgia and California as an AT Specialist, AAC
Specialist and Speech and Language Pathologist. Jackie currently has been with San
Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools for the past 3 years.
