Kristin Wright is the Executive Director of Equity, Diversity, Early Intervention, and Support Services at Sacramento County Office of Education. Wright previously served as the California State Director of Special Education at the California Department of Education (CDE). Before CDE, she served as the Education Policy Advisor for Special Education, Homeless, and Foster Youth at the California State Board of Education and also as a member of the Legislative Staff at the California State Assembly. In addition to her experience in education, she also served as the Assistant Director at Volunteers of America, working with homeless programs in Sacramento County.
She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology, a special education teaching credential, and a master’s degree in special education, all from California State University, Sacramento.
