About me
Virginia Pineda is a highly experienced professional, currently serving as a specialist in Adapted Physical Education, an Assistive Technology Assessor, and a mentor for the Circle of Friends Network at the Imperial County SELPA. With 18 years of experience, she has worked with students requiring varying levels of support to meet their individualized goals.
Throughout her career, Ms. Pineda has taken on leadership roles at both district-wide and school site levels,
where she has been pivotal in driving systems change to promote a positive school culture, equitable learning opportunities, and inclusion for students of all abilities.
Ms. Pineda advocates for the rights of students to receive the individualized support and resources they need to thrive academically, socially, in their physical health, and in their mental well being, at school, home, and in their communities.
